About the Journal
Jurnal Sahabat ISNU SU is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the advancement of legal scholarship and the development of legal thought at both national and international levels. The journal serves as a scientific platform for academics, researchers, legal practitioners, policymakers, and students to publish original research articles, conceptual papers, and critical analyses addressing contemporary legal issues.
The scope of the journal encompasses a broad range of legal disciplines, including constitutional law, administrative law, civil law, criminal law, business and commercial law, international law, environmental law, labor law, human rights law, and cyber law. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary and comparative legal studies that contribute to the development of legal theory, legislation, judicial practice, and legal reform.
In addition, the journal places significant emphasis on Islamic law (Sharia) and its contemporary development, covering topics such as Islamic criminal law (fiqh jinayah), Islamic civil law (fiqh muamalah), Islamic constitutional thought (siyasah dusturiyah), Islamic economic and financial law, family law, waqf and zakat law, maqasid al-shariah, and the implementation of Islamic legal principles within modern legal systems.
The journal also encourages research on legal philosophy, legal sociology, legal anthropology, jurisprudence, comparative law, customary (adat) law, and legal history to foster critical discourse on the relationship between law, society, justice, and public policy. Studies examining legal institutions, governance, judicial systems, dispute resolution, arbitration, mediation, and law enforcement are highly welcomed.
Furthermore, Jurnal Sahabat ISNU SU provides a forum for scholarly discussion on emerging legal issues in response to technological advancement, globalization, and social transformation. These include digital law, artificial intelligence and law, data protection and privacy, financial technology regulation, environmental sustainability, anti-corruption law, transnational crime, restorative justice, and legal challenges in achieving sustainable development.
