Publication Ethics
Jurnal Cendikia ISNU SU adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics to ensure academic integrity in all works we publish. These ethics are intended to guarantee that all parties involved in the publication process—authors, journal editors, peer reviewers, and the publisher—follow the highest standards of ethical behavior. The following are the core principles we uphold:
Duties of Editors
-
Publication Decisions: Editors are responsible for deciding which articles are suitable for publication based on academic quality and the relevance of the subject matter.
-
Confidentiality: Editors must ensure the confidentiality of all manuscripts received and must not disclose any information regarding the manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and the publisher.
-
Impartiality: Editorial decisions must be free from discrimination against authors based on origin, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, nationality, or political views.
Duties of Reviewers (Peer Reviewers)
-
Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and may also help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts through constructive feedback.
-
Objectivity: Reviewers must provide objective evaluations and present their comments clearly and constructively, without hostility or personal attacks.
-
Confidentiality: Any manuscript received for review must be treated as a confidential document. It must not be shown to or discussed with others.
Duties of Authors
-
Reporting Standards: Authors must present an accurate account of the work performed and provide an objective discussion of its significance.
-
Data Access and Retention: Authors may be asked to provide the raw data related to their manuscript for editorial review and should be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable period after publication.
-
Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original works. If authors have used the work and/or words of others, proper citation and acknowledgment are required.
-
Multiple or Redundant Publication: Authors should not submit manuscripts describing essentially the same research to more than one journal simultaneously.
Handling of Publication Errors
If significant errors or inaccuracies are discovered in a published work, authors or reviewers must promptly notify the journal editor and cooperate with them to retract or correct the manuscript.
Through this policy, Jurnal Cendikia ISNU SU affirms its commitment to ethical and responsible academic practices. We believe that this policy is essential to ensuring a fair publication process aligned with globally recognized scholarly standards.
